John Lee Pittman, 58, of Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at his home. He was born February 25, 1967, in Sycamore, Illinois, to Johnny Pittman and Brenda Reddick. He was preceded in death by his mother.
John was a rare soul. He was gentle, generous, and endlessly kind. To know him was to feel seen, valued, and cherished. He lived his life with quiet strength and unwavering empathy, always placing the happiness and well-being of others before his own. Whether through a warm smile, a thoughtful gesture, or a simple word of encouragement, he had a way of making people feel like they mattered.
He believed in love as a guiding force, and his greatest joy came from sharing it. His presence brought peace. His laughter brought light. And his love was a gift to everyone lucky enough to receive it. The world feels dimmer without him, but his spirit lives on in the countless lives he touched.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn Pittman; his dad, Johnny Pittman; two daughters, Courtney Cooper of Charleston and Brittany (Rusty) Franklin of Lavaca; two sons, Ryan (Denny) Pittman of Seattle, Washington and Austin (Kaitlyn) Pittman of Fort Smith; four sisters, Darlene (Allen) Sarley of Webb City, Missouri, Michelle (Royal) Dodd of Asbury, Missouri, Naomi (Wayne) Bolton of Mount Orab, Ohio, and Jackie (Jim) Thomas of Charleston; three brothers, Tom (Annette) Parsons of Rochester, New York, Shaun (Dawn) Freeman of Hilton, New York, and Shane and Hailey of Denham Springs, Louisiana; and (7) grandchildren, Carson Weaver, Parker Weaver, Adalyn Washington, Daxton Washington, Scarlett Cooper, Emmett Washington, and Emalee Washington.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

John was such an encourager working with kids. I so admired his genuine way of talking to kids. As a coach he had a way of talking to them that made them want to excel. Precious memories remain in the hearts of many.
