John Polnaszek Obituary

John, age 68, resident of Eagan, Minnesota, formerly of Minneapolis, Minnesota, graduate of Marshall University Highschool (class of 1974) and University of Minnesota died unexpectedly on August 16, 2024.
John was a passionate fisherman and 30+ year employee of Rainbow/Cub Foods. He is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Marcella; and brothers Tom, Frank, Pete and Joe Jr.. John is survived by his loving wife (Sue); stepchildren Anthony Mason, Molly (Ryan) Smith, Emma (Myk) Dillon, and Rebecca (Rick) Houseman; 9 step-grandchildren; siblings Dan Polnaszek and Maggie (Mike) Hovey; and sister-in-laws Corky and Sandy.
A Celebration of Life for John will be hosted by his family on Sunday, September 29, 2024, 11:00am - 4:00pm at Thompson County Park - North Picnic Shelter, 360 Butler Avenue East, West St Paul, Minnesota.
The family asks that you please bring your fondest memories and pictures of John to share. A light luncheon will be provided. In lieu of flowers, memorials to John's wife are preferred.

I was quite saddened to see that John had departed.
I quite accidentally encountered his obituary and thoughts of John, his parents, siblings, dogs etc. flooded my my memories.
He was a kind and good man.

My sincere condolences to John´s family and loved ones. My name is Bill Polnaszek. I am one of John´s cousins from New Mexico. I am the last of the Polnaszeks here in New Mexico as all my family members have passed on. I was surprised and saddened to recently discover that five of Joey´s seven children have also already passed. My heart goes out to all of you that have been affected in these difficult times. By searching the Internet, I have found several phone numbers that may have been connected to the Joey Polnaszek family, but none of them panned out.
