John W. "Jack" Polski

John "Jack" W. Polski, age 67, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Nelsonville, Wisconsin, on Sunday, November 30, 2025. He was born on March 17, 1958, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Connie (Gompper) Polski and was cared for and raised by his stepfather, Frank Polski.
Jack grew up in Milwaukee and later moved to Amherst, Wisconsin, in 2013.
Though he never considered himself book-smart, he was always the person everyone called when something needed to be fixed. Jack was always willing to lend a hand whenever someone needed help. Throughout his career, he worked for several companies, including Appleton Electric, where he was a forklift operator. He later worked at the Froedtert Malt Plant, maintaining high-pressure malt vats. His most recent position was at Baker Food Manufacturing. He earned his forklift certification in 2001, and one of his most recent accomplishments was completing his radiation treatment for cancer in the spring of 2025.
Jack divorced in 1997 and later on met Jaimy Shanklin. They shared two daughters, Anji and Ashlie. Jack enjoyed the time he spent with his family. He loved making others laugh, listening to music, cheering on the Green Bay Packers, Harley Davidson motorcycles, and going for walks with his grand-dog Mercedes.
He is survived by his mother, Connie Polski; his brothers, James H. Polski, Michael J. Polski, Mark R. Polski, and Robert J. Polski; and his daughters, Carrie Borzyskowski, Christine Baltutis, Anji Polski, and Ashlie Polski.
Jack is preceded in death by his stepfather, Frank Polski; his longtime partner, Jaimy Shanklin; and his grandparents, Rose and Harold Gompper.
