In Loving Memory Husband, Father, Brother, Son, Uncle and Grandfather.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Ted Potocki, age 68, of Clifton, NJ, who left us on December 7, 2024. Born in Passaic, NJ, John spent his life rooted in the community he loved, bringing warmth and joy to everyone fortunate enough to know him. John was the beloved son of Dolores (DeMaria) Carney and the late John Potocki. He dedicated many years of hard work as a warehouse manager with Dane Paper Board in Woodbridge, a career he took pride in. Beyond his professional life, John was a man of simple joys and profound love. John found happiness in life's purest pleasures-days spent fishing, the thrill of horses, and indulging in his well-known sweet tooth for cake and candy. A passionate NY Giants fan, he enjoyed cheering on his favorite team while relaxing at home. His love for western movies was unmatched, and his laughter often filled the room as he shared his favorite scenes with family and friends. Above all, John had a heart for children. Whether with his own daughters or grandchildren, nieces or nephews, his warmth and gentle spirit were a source of endless comfort and joy. He cherished traveling on vacations, creating countless memories that his family will treasure forever. John is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia, who was his steadfast partner in life and love. He leaves behind his cherished mother, Dolores, his loving daughters Jennifer Potocki, Michelle Santos and her husband Miguel, and Rebecca Delcalzo and her husband Kevin. John's legacy lives on through his adored grandchildren-Andrew Potocki, Ziggy Delcalzo, and Ozzy Delcalzo-who were the light of his life. He is also survived by his dear siblings: James and Clifford Carney and his wife Karen, and his sister Denise Hall. John's memory will be carried on by his extended family and friends, who were touched by his kindness and love. John is reunited in eternal peace with his father, John, and his brothers, Douglas Potocki and Dale Carney, whose memories he carried in his heart every day. John's love of family, zest for life, and unwavering kindness will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love he so selflessly gave in his time with us.
