Of Hamburg, entered into rest March 8, 2026. Beloved husband of Katharine Mallaber-Prestia; devoted father of Lilah (Brian) Babiak, Carmella Rose Prestia and Lucas John Prestia; loving son of the late Michael and Julianna Prestia; dear brother of Nicole (Don) Urbanczyk and Vince (Robynn) Prestia; adored son-in-law of John and Dianne Mallaber; cherished brother-in-law of Sara Mallaber; also survived by nieces and nephews, and his much loved band brothers. John was a dedicated and valued employee in industrial sales. John played guitar in many bands throughout his life, including the acoustic duo Road to Recovery with his wife Katie, and most recently the band, Stealin'. He loved music and in his down time, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel) 3060 Abbott Rd., near Lake Ave. on Sunday (March 15) from 2-7PM. A funeral service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, 4536 S. Buffalo St., Orchard Park on Monday morning at 10:30AM. Please assemble at Church. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery.
