John Otis Price was called home by our Heavenly Father on November 25, 2024 in Seguin, Texas. He was born on August 1, 1938 to Otis and Jessie (Clay) Price in Hochheim, Texas.
John O. Price was an endearing man of faith. He praised his God for over 40 years at New St. James Baptist Church. Not only was he a father, husband and presence in his own home, but he was also a fixture at athletic events at Seguin High School before and after his sons participated in extracurricular activities. John enjoyed traveling and visiting family and friends in the area he grew up.
He leaves to mourn his sons; Harold Randle (Seguin, TX), Edward Alexander (San Antonio, TX), John Timothy and wife Destiny Price, granddaughter Jesse Ruth Price (Universal City, TX), and Hemzy Van-ness and wife Diane Price and granddaughter Vanessa Price (Richmond, TX). He was predeceased by wife, Leona Price and son, Kenneth Charles Alexander (Seguin, TX).
His family from Otis and Jessie Price consists of his sisters; Ms. Pearlie Hights (San Antonio, TX), Ms. Harriet Brazzeal (Cuero, TX), Ms. Jessie Middleton (Cuero), and Ms. Fannie Price (Cuero); brothers, James Price (Cuero), Freddie Price (deceased), David Price (Cuero), Herbert Price (Cuero), Clarence “Jim” Lewis Jr. (deceased), Guy Matthew Price (deceased), and Joseph C. Price Sr. (deceased).
Funeral Services celebrating John will take place on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at New St. James Baptist Church. Interment with Military Honors will take place on Monday, December 16, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at Committal Shelter #4.
