John "India" Priester, 56, of Canton, passed away Monday, October 2nd, at Belden Village Nursing & Rehab Center. Born in Canton, on July 29, 1967, a son of John Butler Jr. and the late Betty Harvey, also preceded in death by 2 sisters Starlita and Leigheal; 2 brothers Orrin and Rodney; uncle Andrew; great-grandmother Nettie Gordon; and grandparents John Sr. and Robbie Butler. Besides his father he is survived 6 sisters Johnnie Kay, Monica, Tedra, Kashiwa, Shinequa, Arrieal; 6 brothers Andre, Cordell, John, Justin, Raphael, Lee Jasper; step-mother Gwen Butler; 3 aunts Patricia Butler, Terry Jennings, and Lulabell Smith; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
