John Prim Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jakubs-Waite Funeral Home on Jan. 9, 2026.
Funeral Service for John Prim, Jr., age 79, will be 11:30 AM, Friday January 16, 2026, at the Jakubs-Waite Funeral Home, 36000 Lakeshore Blvd., Eastlake. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of service. Inurnment will be in Willoughby Memorial Gardens.
John was born on December 15, 1946, to John and Agatha (nee Hefer) (both deceased) and he passed away on January 7, 2026.
John proudly served his country as a United States Marine during the Vietnam War, carrying the discipline and quiet strength of his service throughout his life. After returning home, he built a long and respected career as a skilled window glazier, known for his steady hands and meticulous craftsmanship. Away from work, John found his greatest peace outdoors, tending to his garden with the same care and patience he offered to those he loved. The beauty he cultivated, both in his work and in the soil, reflected the generous, grounded spirit that defined him.
John is the beloved husband of the late Nancy Prim; father of John L. Prim (deceased), Chris Prim, and Joseph Prim; stepfather of Alan Bolyard (Karen), Steven Bolyard (Julie), and Julie Boothe; brother of Anna Lucas, Erna Jellison, and Agatha Luketic; grandfather of Erin Bolyard, Matthew Bolyard, Jessica Boothe (deceased), and Jonathan Boothe; great grandsons: Chase Boothe and Luca Boothe.
