John was born on December 7, 1947, in Steubenville, Ohio, the son of Emanuel and Catherine (Kladakis) Psaros. He graduated from Weir High School in West Virginia and later received his associate’s degree in business. John had a long career as a Supervisor at General Motors AC Delco/Delphi Electronics. After retirement, he joined the Event Staff at UofM, surrounding himself with one of his all-time favorites – UofM football. His three daughters attending MSU created a fun “family rivalry” that continued throughout the years.
John was fun, kindhearted, and generous. He loved travel, adventure, and spontaneity, but above all, he loved his family. He was loyal and devoted to his family and friends and was loved very much by many in return.
John is survived by his fiancée, Catherine Brown; daughters, Tina (Stew) Whitney, Angela (Sean Kelley) Psaros, and Chrissy Psaros; grandchildren, Judson and Lenora Whitney, Kyra, Ari, and Ava Kelley; his lifelong friends, Daniel and Debbie Chapman; ex-wife and friend, Carol Psaros; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Marfolia Alatis, Mary Balalis, and George Psaros.
