John S. Randolph, 61, of East Templeton, died Friday June 28th 2013 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. John was born in Cambridge, MA October 17, 1951 a son of the late John L. and Mary Patricia (Doherty) Randolph and has lived in Templeton since 1985. He married his beloved wife Polly R. (Bush) Randolph September 11, 1983, and together they have shared over 29 years of marriage. John worked as a meat cutter for local butcher shops, and most recently stop and shop. He was an avid ice hockey fan and player. He played in the Old Timers Hockey League in Gardner, and for the Rusty Blades of Worcester. John was very active, besides playing ice hockey he loved spin class, and kettle bell class at fitness concepts. He was a youth hockey coach for his son. John loved the Boston Bruins and the Red Sox. Besides his wife Polly, John will be sadly missed by his son Scott W. Randolph and his significant other Jaimie of E. Templeton, his daughter, Kacie R. Randolph of E. Templeton, one brother; Richard Randolph of Charlestown, NH, two sisters; Judith G. Randolph of Somerville, and Patricia D. Martin of Pacific Grove, CA, one granddaughter; Chloe Kennedy, a nephew Samir L. Randolph, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are planning to honor and celebrate John's life by gathering for a memorial service in the Lamoureux Fletcher and Smith Funeral Home, 105 Central St., Gardner, on Friday July 5, 2013 beginning at 10AM. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, West St., Gardner. There are no calling hours. Should friends desire donations in John's memory may be made to the Greater Gardner Youth Hockey Association, PO Box 212, Gardner, MA 01440 or to the Gardner Visiting Nurses Association Hospice, 34 Pearly Lane, Gardner, MA 01440.
