John Francis Reimer, Jr.,
Passed away surrounded by his loving family on November 8th, 2024, of Washington Twp. Age 82. Beloved husband of the late Rosemary (nee McDermott).
John, fondly known as Jack, was born to John and Susan Reimer, on November 7, 1942, in Philadelphia, PA. He was a not only a loving son who was especially close to his father, but also a loving brother to Charles and Donald Reimer (Claire). Jack went on to proudly serve his country at the young age of 16, when he joined the United States Navy, he was a lifelong patriot. At 21, Jack met his beloved late wife, Rosemary and they were married for 60 beautiful years.
He held many titles in his life, Seaman Recruit, Loving Husband, Entrepreneur, to President of the company he retired from, but his most favorite title he ever held was that of Dad and Pop. Jack was known for his snarky sense of humor, big smile, love for the outdoors. He enjoyed sitting in the sun, especially by the water in Anglesea, New Jersey or Fort Myers, Florida, playing tennis, golfing, but he most of all enjoyed spending time with his family. Jack was a proud father to John Francis Reimer III (Elizabeth), Kimberly Mitkus (John), and Debra Sklodowski. He was a proud grandfather to Victoria, John IV (Allison), Christian, Jessica (Tarek), Matthew, and Justina. He was an especially proud great-grandfather to his two great grandchildren John V and Daphne Reimer.
He retired at the age of 60, as President of J & H Stevedoring Co, and spent the rest of his life traveling and enjoying every day with his wife Rosemary and his children and grandchildren. You would often find him at the Casino with his grandson Christian, having a shrimp cocktail on the bay, or walking one of the many German Shepherds he tenderly owned throughout his life. "Pop" as he was known by many, never missed a chance to speak fondly of his family, pay you a compliment, or tell you how proud of you he was. He was generous, caring, and thoughtful, a true family man. He was a hero to all who loved him and will be so very missed.
