John Remes Jr.

John Remes, Jr.,63, of Andover, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday June 21, 2025. Born in Hartford, John was the son of the late John Remes Sr. and Helen (Zalenska) Remes. With a passion for football, John played on the varsity team for 4 years while attending Hartford Public High School, graduating class of 1980. Furthering his education, John attended Manchester Community College where he received an Associates Degree. John was in the transportation industry and lived in Andover for the past seven years. He was a former Coventry resident for 20 years.
Survived by his son, Joshua Remes of Vernon; his daughter, Lauren Remes of Coventry, two brothers, Walter Remes and his wife Betsy of West Hartford and William Remes and his partner Claudette of Rocky Hill; two nephews, Brian and Brendan Remes and his former wife, Stacey Remes of Coventry.
A private graveside service will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford. There are no calling hours. Carlson Funeral Home, New Britain, is assisting with arrangements.
