When I think about friends who are gone, I often think of John. I wish he was still here.

I think I first met John in 5th grade, then his family moved and didn't see him again till high school. John drew cool cartoons of Freddy the Flea.

John was my friend when we were growing up in the mid to late 60s, we hung out doing all kinds of things together. He loved to ride his Yamaha, go kart, play pool, fish, and play football. We both went in the Army in 68 and I lost touch with him when he went to Korea and I went to Germany. I did a lot of things with John that was really cool during my school years that I´ll never forget. I didn´t really have many friends growing up except for a guy named Ken and John. He always treated me like I was also his best friend and let me hang out with him even though I wasn´t cool. I wish now I would have tried harder to reconnect after being discharged. We did around a year ago and it was great talking about the good old days. I really going to miss you John.

I lived across the street from John through most of high school. He was a funny guy and I wish I had stayed on contract with him. Sounds like he had a tough life. He was good friend and I wish I had been a better friend.
