John Renno was born to Crist and Leah (Peachey) Renno on July 27, 1948.

He peacefully and quietly passed away in the early morning hours on November 17, 2025 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA at the age of 77 years as the result of a stroke.

He was born and raised in the Belleville community. He attended an Amish school for 8 years.

John was married to Lavina Peachey on November 20, 1973. They enjoyed almost 52 years together.

Beginning at a young age, he worked for various farmers, and a roofer until he started his own painting business. In 1978, our family moved to McVeytown and four years later we began dairying. He started a manure hauling business and other occupations included hauling logs and working in the forest together with the loggers.

He was a man with big hands, a big heart, and many friends.

John was a member of the Living Springs Mennonite Church, McVeytown, PA.

Surviving are his wife, Lavina, children Martha and Maxo Boursiquot, and Reuben and Rachel, Belleville, Philip and Linda, and Dorcas, McVeytown, Lois and Chris Unruh, Kansas, Michael and Charlotte , McVeytown, Chris and Amy, serving in Mexico, Bethany, Kansas, twenty-six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, siblings Sarah Renno, Rebecca Peachey, and Joshua Renno, Pennsylvania.

He was preceded in death by his parents and parents in law, his sisters, Katie Yoder, infant sister Ella, Molly Stoltzfus, Emma Peachey, Annie Renno, brothers Ezra, Samuel, David, and Crist.

There will be a viewing at the Living Springs Mennonite Church 565 Ridge Road, McVeytown, Thursday, November 20 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Funeral will be held on Friday, November 21 at 10:30 A.M. at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Living Springs Mennonite Church.
