John Richard Robbins, 85, of Poplar Bluff, MO went to his heavenly home on January 12, 2026 at Westwood Hills Healthcare in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
John was born on February 24, 1940 to Rouda and Ida( Knott) Robbins in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He married Dorothy Jean Jerrolds on August 19, 1960, in Hayti, MO., she survives.
John was an all around loving family man, who liked fishing, hunting, car racing and family get togethers. He enjoyed traveling to see the US, which he went to all 50 states with his loving wife Dorothy. John and Dorothy traveled to Texas for 20 years, to square dance, 3 months out of the year. He served 9 years in the National Guard. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great -grandfather.
John is survived by spouse, Dorothy Jean Robbins, daughter, Sharon Heifner (Hershel), daughter, Monda Darnell (Jeff), son, Ed Robbins (Angela), grandson, Kyle Heifner (Amy), grandson, John Taylor Heifner, Grandson, Craig Darnell, grandson, Tyler Darnell (Chasidy), grandson, Dusty Robbins (Jessica), granddaughter, Dallas Pressley (Peyton), Great grandchildren, Aiden & Abigail Heifner, Cayden & Cate Darnell, Tatum & Tegan Pressley, and Porter Robbins.
John was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 10-11AM at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home 701 Vine St. Poplar Bluff.
Funeral services will begin at 11AM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Steve Patterson officiating. Burial will take place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
