John "Jack" Rodenberg, age 90, of Midland Park, NJ, passed away on Friday, January 2,
2026. He was born on June 28, 1935, in Jersey City, NJ. He grew up in Jersey City, where he
met his beloved wife, Anne. The couple married on November 27, 1958, and began their life
together.

In 1973, Jack and Anne moved to Midland Park, which became their home for many years
and a community they deeply cherished.

Jack proudly served in the United States Army from 1955 to 1958 and was stationed in
France. Following his military service, he worked in the manufacturing industry until his
retirement. After retiring, he enjoyed nearly 30 years of retirement, spending much of his time
on the golf course, a pastime he truly loved.

He was predeceased by his father, George Rodenberg; his mother, Margaret Rodenberg (née
Lyons); and his brother, George Rodenberg.

Jack is survived by his wife, Anne Rodenberg (née Podhorecny); his daughters, Susan
Bardzell (née Rodenberg) and her husband Daniel A. Bardzell, and Ellen Gettel (née
Rodenberg) and her husband Robert Gettel; his grandchildren, Daniel J. and his wife Nicole,
Michael, Gregory, Jessica, Alyssa, and Christopher; and his great-grandchildren, Daniel R.,
Charlotte, and Samuel.

Jack was a devoted member of the Church of the Nativity and a member of the Knights of
Columbus.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at
the Church of the Nativity, 315 Prospect Street, Midland Park, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be
celebrated at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
