Share your Memorial with Family & Friends John "Tony" Rogers, 83, died Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at home in Cocoa, Florida, following his battle with serious medical issues in recent smile despite everything was inspiring.
Tony was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica and was predeceased by his parents Noel Rogers and Beryl (Hendricks).Tony lived in Florida most of his adult life but also loved his time in California.
Directly after school at Knox College in Jamaica, Tony joined the Navy and served for four years, serving in the Vietnam War. He returned and continued working in the Printing business as did his family in Jamaica. He owned his own printing business for years and was a master at his craft.
Tony met the love of his life, Rosie, in Jacksonville, Florida 42 years ago, became best friends and finally married June 12, 2015.
In the 83 years that Tony lived, he was so many things to so many people. He was a husband, a dad, a Papa, and most of all a loyal friend.
He is survived by his wife, Rosie (Smith) Rogers; his sons Phillip (Renee') and Steven (Christina) Rogers, grandchildren Dakota, Jennifer, Gabriel, Jessica, Jason, Alex and Joseph; and many close friends.
Tony knew he'd win the lottery one day and played habitually. He now has his mansion in Heaven. He was an avid gardener after he retired and took great pride in his plants, he loved his saltwater fish tanks, building model planes, playing ping pong, dancing and all types of music. He forged many friendships that lasted a lifetime. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Tony and his wife are members of Frontenac Baptist Church and the local Eagles lodge 4257.The family offers a special thanks to their friends and Wuesthoff Brevard Hospice for their support, it's so appreciated.
