John Russo passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025. He was born on July 7, 1944, to the late John and Angelina Russo.

John was the beloved husband of Carol (Daly) Russo, with whom he shared 59 wonderful years of marriage. He was a devoted father to his sons, Mark Russo of Woburn, Massachusetts, and his partner Christine Smith; Jason and Kyra Russo of Nantucket, Massachusetts; and Jonathan and Daniela Russo of Viera, Florida. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Alexander (AJ), Gabriella, Ariana, and Gia, whom he adored deeply.

John is also survived by his sisters, Joanne Di Giovanni and Cathy Derany.

For more than 30 years, John owned and operated Awards Unlimited, Inc. of Somerville, Massachusetts. During that time, he generously supported and sponsored numerous youth teams and organizations throughout the greater Boston area and beyond, leaving a lasting impact on many lives.

Upon his retirement in 2006, John and Carol moved to Bonita Springs, Florida, where they spent 20 years enjoying retirement. John treasured time with his family and friends and took great joy in his dog, his Corvette, and the life he built with those he loved.

If there was one word to describe John Russo it would be PASSIONATE. He was passionate about his wife Carol, whom he loved dearly. He was passionate about his children and grandchildren , of whom he was very proud. He was passionate about cars, golfcarts, good cigars, and card games. He was especially passionate about his little shadow Bella. He was also passionate about his relationships and if you were fortunate enough to have him as a friend you were fortunate indeed. He gave 110% and was always there for anyone who needed him. He was kind, thoughtful, happy and funny.

We were able to visit him shortly before his passing and as he held my hand he looked up and said " At least I know I lived well." Yes, you did John Russo. Yes you did! RIP
