Jun Wang

With heavy hearts, we share that our beloved father Jun Wang passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on January 29, 2026, at 4:25 pm at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 93 years old.

Our father lived a full and accomplished life. He was intelligent, knowledgeable, and talented in many ways. Kind and principled, he was deeply devoted to his family, his community, and higher education. He committed his entire life to education and scientific research, nurturing and teaching his students with sincerity and patience, and was deeply respected and loved by them. In addition to teaching, he dedicated himself to the study of potato cultivation and made tremendous contributions to the development of potato farming in China. Even in his later years, he generously gave his time and care to the betterment of his neighborhood. His wisdom, warmth, and example will continue to guide and inspire us.

To honor the life he lived with grace and achievement, we will gather for a memorial service at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 4th at 2:00 pm, at Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., Arlington, MA 02474.

Family and friends are warmly invited to join us as we remember him, share stories, and celebrate the love, wisdom, and memories he leaves with us.
