John Salley Obituary

John Lee Salley, 56 passed away after a lengthy illness in Marietta, Georgia on January 20, 2026. He was the son of C. Allison Salley and Shirley Salley who had predeceased him. He was born on December 27, 1969 and was brought up in Fort Worth, where he attended Arlington Heights High School.

John was a talented bass guitar player and loved music as his parents did. He played the guitar at many of the church services he attended. His faith was very important to him and gave him joy, as did watching his beloved TCU Horn Frogs play football.

John is survived by a son, Jonathan Salley of Aledo, sister, Cheryl Allen and brother-in-law, Ron of Marietta, Georgia; brother, Stephen Salley of Warner Robbins, Georgia; and extended family and friends.

John will be buried with his parents and grandparents at Taylor Cemetery in Liberty Hill, Louisiana, at a later date.

Rest peacefully in the Lord's arms and with our precious parents, John.
