John Steven Sands

John Steven Sands has gone to join our Lord Jesus and build arches for the angels. A longtime resident of Las Vegas and Clovis NM John has spent his life as a man of many trades. From using his amazing carpentry skills to build true pieces of art and his auto mechanic skills to keep his friends and neighbors on the road, he was the fix it man of the mountain.
John Steven Sands was born Sept 17, 1954 in New Orleans, Louisiana at camp Leroy Johnson Army hospital. He attended Vance junior high school, then went on to graduate high school from Hixson High School class of 1972.
Steve was preceded in death by his father Thomas Harold Sands, and a younger brother Darrell Edwin Sands.
Steve leaves behind his Mother Dorothy V Sands, Siblings; Beth Gossett of Soddy Daisy, TN, Brothers Harrell A Sands of Clovis NM and Chris Sands of Dublin, Virginia and multiple nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his children and step children April McWilliams of Soddy Daisy TN, Becky Ainsworth of Texas, Sarah Sands of Clovis, NM Jerry Pease of Las Vegas, NM and, Casey Gibson of Centerville, Indiana. Several Grandchildren and great grandchildren he will be greatly missed by many and yet never forgotten, his imprint on life will forever carry on.
Cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
