John G. Sarzoza, Sr., age 76 of Faribault, died on Monday, August 18, 2025, at his home.

Visitation will be held at Boldt Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Faribault, on Monday, August 25, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights, on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.

John Gerald, Sr., son of Santos and Dolores (Dominguez) Sarzoza, was born on February 5, 1949, in Del Rio, Texas. While in high school, John lived with his uncle in Minnesota. John returned to Texas and moved his family of eight to Minnesota to offer them a better life and more opportunities. He made a lifelong career at Conwed Plastics in quality assurance. An avid hockey fan, he enjoyed coaching hockey and rarely missed a game his children or grandchildren had. Throughout his life, John was a hard worker and always made sure everyone's needs were met before his own. Even during his cancer treatments, he made sure his nurses and caregivers were comfortable before himself.

John is survived by his children, John (Teresa) Sarzoza, Jr., and Michelle (John) Sarzoza-Ott; grandchildren, Hayden Ott, Neyland Ott, Ginger Ott, Lynnette Ott, Brandon (Tina) Bernard, Megan (Joe) Soderlind, Nicholas Stivers; siblings, Norbert (Mary) Sarzoza, Al (Laura) Sarzoza, Cesar (Maria) Sarzoza, Cecy (Terry) Lukoskie, and Mardi (Frank) Dominguez; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his uncle, Rudy Dominguez.
