John Scarpelli

FISHKILL - John Scarpelli, Jr., 60, an area resident for over 37 years, passed away on December 23, 2025 at Westchester Medical Center.

John was born on July 27, 1965 in Mount Vernon, NY. He was a parishioner at St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill. For more than 30 years, John owned and operated Johnny's Master Plumbing Corp. in Hopewell Junction alongside his two sons, Nicholas and Michael. A hardworking tradesman, he would solve any problem he came across through his determination and perseverance. He was best known for his unwavering will to never give up, his optimism, and his strong work ethic. Above all else, John was a devoted family man. His wife and eight children meant the world to him, and he took immense pride in each of them.

On November 5, 1988 at St. Patrick's Church in Yorktown, John married the love of his life, Diahne (Ruocco) Scarpelli who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Ashlea Tarkazikis and her husband Nicholas, Alycia Lombardi and her husband Joseph, Nicholas Scarpelli and his partner Alexis, Taylar Scarpelli and her partner Nakia, Michael Scarpelli and his fiancé Alexa Alessandri, Jardana Scarpelli, Jianna Scarpelli, and Nicalyna Scarpelli. In addition, John was a proud grandfather to Noah, Jaxon, Ellianna, Madisyn, Ella, and Maverick, who affectionately called him "Poppi."

Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 29th from 4 - 8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 30th at 10 am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill followed by burial at St. Denis Cemetery, 604 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction.
