Wichita, Kansas - John Scherback, 93, Retired Aircraft Manufacturing Industrial Designer, died Tuesday, January 18, 2022. Memorial Service will be at a later date. Preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Anne Scherback; brothers, Bill (Jo) and George (Anne) Scherback. Survived by his wife, Norma Scherback; daughters, Nancy (Tracy) Tuttle, Tracy Scherback, all of Wichita, KS. Memorials have been established with: Grace Presbyterian Church, 5002 E. Douglas Ave., Wichita, KS 67208; PBS Kansas, 320 W. 21st St. N., Wichita, KS 67203. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - East Chapel. Share tributes online at: www.dlwichita.com

I will always be grateful to John as he hired me, 35 years ago, at Cessna. It was an honor to work with him, and learn so much from his aviation and design experiences. Many laughs at work as he had a way of making any story hilarious. He talked often about Norma, and Nancy and Tracy. It was evident how important his family was to him.
John will always be a legend at Cessna and we will always remember his impact.
A long life well lived.
