He was born March 23, 1933, in Wheeling, WV, son of the late Ira P. and Mary C. Gallagher Sengewalt.
Jack was the Owner/Operator for South Side Hardware Store, Wheeling, WV and a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.
He enjoyed gardening, church, and visiting with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph, Bob, and Larry Sengewalt; and three sisters, Helen Cooper, Jean Bentz, and Patricia Blake.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Lois Jean Latz Sengewalt; three children, Lynn (Bob) Righetti, John (Maggie) Sengewalt Jr., and Mary (Tom) Kasberg; twin brother, James Sengewalt; sister, Ruth Werner; six grandchildren, Brent, Cassie, Joel, Marlo, John III, and Kateri; and two great-grandchildren, Kimmy & Paislee.
Friends will be received on Sunday, June 29, 2025 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Kepner Funeral Homes, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV (304-242-2311) where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 7:30 PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, June 30, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 2111 Market Street, Wheeling, WV with Father Penumaka Manikyalarao as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling, WV.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 2111 Market Street, Wheeling, WV 26003.
