John T. Senior

October 8, 1943 – November 18, 2025

Putnam – John T. Senior, 82, passed away on November 18 with his loving wife & soul mate, Linda, holding his hand. He was the son of the late George and Marion (McCauliff) Senior.

He leaves behind his wife of 39 years, Linda, his son Stephen of Worcester, MA., his siblings, William Senior of Auburn, MA., Paul Senior of Worcester, MA., Kathleen Wells of Athol, Peg Lamson of E. Brookfield, Ane Marie Germain of Palmer, Beth Bromage of Upton and Sharon Hope of Worcester, and he is predeceased by his two sisters, Nancy Senior and Maureen Westfer. John is also survived by his in-laws, Hector and Nathalie LaPlante of Auburn and their family, as well as 23 nieces and nephews.

At four years old, John announced he was going to be a truck driver and grew up to fulfill his dream, beginning in 1975 he drove the longest for Nissan Baking Co, then drove a concrete truck for Aggregate Industries until his retirement.

He was a proud and loyal Teamster and member of local 170. He volunteered to teach at CDL school and helped others obtain their licenses. John loved speaking at high schools and talking about being a truck driver as a career.

Golf was a passion of John's, and he would play with his friends until they closed the courses for the winter. He was an avid reader, and you could often find him on the front porch reading and smoking a cigar in his favorite rocking chair. It was there where he chatted with his neighbors and made friends with their dogs by giving out treats. John would make sure to keep the bowl full for all the local cats that frequently visited.

John was a loving brother, a loyal friend and a devoted husband. His twinkling Irish eyes and mischievous grin will be missed, and he will always be in our hearts.
