John R. Sinclair, 73, of Lewiston, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Clover Manor in Auburn.
Born in Houlton on December 1, 1951, he was the son of the late Lloyd R. and Mary R. (Jenkins) Sinclair. He was educated in local schools and went on to attend CMVTI and later University of Maine, Augusta.
A proud United States Air Force veteran, John later dedicated many years of service in the accountant department with the Immigration Office in Portland, Maine. His passion for athletics and mentorship led him to serve as a coach for Lewiston High School Track and Field/ Cross Country for over forty years, where he inspired countless student-athletes.
He is survived by his brother, Richard Sinclair and wife Cathi of Brewer, and his sister, Ronella Paradis and partner Jake Merrill of Lewiston, and nephew Phillip and wife Donna Paradis of Norway, many other family and friends and two beloved cats which he adored.
He was predeceased by his parents.
He was a devoted member of the Prince of Peace church in Lewiston.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the spring, with date and time to be announced, followed by burial at Mount Hope Cemetery in Lewiston.
