John Slockbower Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Nicoles Funeral Home on Feb. 24, 2026.
John "Jack" Slockbower Jr., 77, passed away on February 18, 2026, in Wenatchee Washington. He was born on May 17, 1948, in Bethesda, Maryland.

Jack was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy; his children, Shirley, John III, and Nicole; his sister, Mary Ellen; and his brother, Robert. He was a proud grandfather to Marc, Ashley, T.J., Kattie, and J.T., and a cherished great-grandfather to Izayah.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Ella, and his beloved grandson, Michael.

Jack worked many years as a Lumber Mill Supervisor, a role he carried out with dedication, strength, and integrity. He was known for his strong work ethic and steady leadership, earning the respect of those who worked alongside him.

Outside of work, Jack found his greatest joy in the outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing, especially the time spent with his good buddy Russ. Whether in the woods or by the water, those moments brought him peace and happiness. Above all, Jack loved his family deeply. He had a great heart and was loved by everyone he met. His warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those he cared about will be remembered always.

A private Celebration of Life for family will be held in May.

Jack's legacy lives on in the stories shared, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
