John J. Sowinski

John Joseph Sowinski of Southampton,PA passed away on November 4, 2023. Born in Philadelphia to the late John Stanley and Anna Sowinski, he was a graduate of Father Judge high school and La Salle University. John was a member of Saint Francis Seniors and the American Legion.
For 25 years, he worked in management for Sears and at the same time was in the United States Navy Reserve where he served two years on active duty. After retiring, he earned his nursing degree as a second career.
As an avid Philadelphia sports fan, for may years he supported the Phillies and Eagles by being a season ticket holder. His hobbies were model trains, coin collecting, and travel. He was most happy spending time with his family.
John was the beloved husband of Mary Sowinski (Nee: Christy), the loving father of Sharon Mueller and her husband Wolfram and John Michael Sowinski. He was the proud grandfather of Carter and Michelle, who he adored. He was the dear brother of Rosemary Bubb, Michael Sowinski and the late Anne Marasa.
His family will receive relatives and friends, Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 10:00AM to 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Avenue, Southamtpon, PA 18966. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00AM. His interment with military honors will follow at 1:00PM in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
