Mr. John Springfield, age 81, of Trussville, Alabama, formerly Boaz, Alabama, went to heaven on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Grandview Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at eleven o’clock am at First Baptist Church Trussville with Rev. Beau Miller and Phil Foster officiating. Inurnment will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery, Albertville, Alabama at three o’clock pm. The visitation will be on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from ten o’clock am until service time at the church.
John was born in Boaz, Alabama on November 4, 1943, to B. & Lura Duke Springfield. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Trussville. He was a retired Division Safety Manager for Gold Kist/ Pilgram’s Pride.
John is survived by Wife: Linda Bagwell Springfield of Trussville, Alabama, Daughters & Sons-in-Law: Tara & Beau Miller of Baltimore, Maryland, Traci & Marcus Newell of Trussville, Alabama, and Tina & Shane Whitehead of Jacksonville, Alabama, Grandchildren: Chrissy Newell, Cole Miller, Abbi Whitehead, Ella Whitehead, Phoebe Miller, Lily Newell, and Kadi Whitehead. He was preceded in death by his Parents: B. & Lura Springfield, Son: Jeffrey Scott Springfield, and Sister Elaine Ballentine.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Lifeline Children’s Services (Families Count Program), 200 Missionary Ridge Dr, Birmingham, AL 35242 or to First Baptist Church Trussville (Next Generation Campaign), 128 North Chalkville Road, Trussville, AL 35173.
