John Stepp Obituary
John Ray Stepp, 87, of Cleveland, TN passed away on July 4, 2024. He was born on April 1, 1937 to the late John Braska "Braskie" Stepp and Jesse Cash Stepp.
He was a loyal fan to all of his favorite teams: New York Yankees, Washington Redskins, and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He lived in six different states throughout his life and deployed to North Africa in 1955 with the Air Force. He was a skilled outdoorsman and navigator, an avid golfer, and a life-long explorer with his adventure partner of 56 years, Angelique. Above all, he was a man of God who loved his family.
In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Angelique Mary Estelle Stepp; brother Ronald Stepp.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children: Ronald (Carmen) Stepp of Crestview, FL,Deborah Williams of Maryville, TN, Cinnamon (Gene) White of Riceville, TN, Morgan (Jennifer) Stepp of Alcoa, TN, Jordan (Heather) Stepp of Canton, GA; siblings: Renzy Stepp Sr, Reda O'Neal, Robert (Brenda) Stepp, Rene Stepp, Roger (Sharon) Stepp; grandchildren: Rachel Stepp, Ryan Stepp, Jared Stepp, Gabriella Algarin, Kristopher Algarin, Christy (Shane) Bulloch, Benjamin (Christina) Culpepper, Jennifer (Patrick) Pointer, Nathaniel Culpepper, Katie Culpepper, Jake White, Anna White, Sadiya Stepp, Emmaline Stepp, Petra Stepp, Lorelai Stepp, and Isabelle Stepp; nine great-grandchildren.
A celebration of John's life will be held at 12:00pm on Wednesday July 10th at the Ridge Chapel of Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home. His family will receive friends from 10am until 12pm. He will be laid to rest following the service at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
