John N. STOVER

STOVER, John N., 88, of Richmond, passed away Friday, November 13, 2009. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Bernice S. Stover. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer S. Hatcher (Ned); his sons, Jeffrey L. Stover (Jill), and John Wesley Stover (Stephanie); granddaughters, Jamie Lynn Stover, Kimberly Paige Reed of Atlanta, Ga., and Jane Renee Parent. Mr. Stover served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1942 until 1946. He retired from Jefferson National Bank after 35 years of service and served the community working at Ukrop's for 19 years. He was also an active member of West Richmond Church of the Brethren, where he served as trustee. Mr. Stover enjoyed gardening and puzzles. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Bliley's - Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Road. A funeral service will be held Monday, 2 p.m., at the West Richmond Church of the Brethren, 7612 Wanymala Road, Henrico, Va. 23229. Interment to follow at Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the above church.
