John Strine Obituary
Funeral: 12 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2023 in Mount Olivet Chapel in Fort Worth, Texas. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Mount Olivet Chapel in the Breyley Suite.
Mike was born in Grapevine, Texas to Albert Junior and Lora Beth Strine. He grew up in Haltom City, Texas with his older brother, Anthony "Tony" Strine. Mike married Sharon Morgan on February 15, 1980 and they shared 43 years together. They were blessed with one daughter, Amanda, in 1987. Mike worked for Birdville ISD for 32 years and retired in 2013. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved fishing, attending and working rodeos, and watching sports. His greatest joy was becoming "Papa" in 2013 to granddaughter, Ava Wahkinney.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Strine; daughter, Amanda Wahkinney and husband, Elijah; granddaughter, Ava Wahkinney; numerous nieces and nephews; and beloved family and friends.
