Giles-Harris Funeral Home - Chase CityMr. John Ace Studivant, 95, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at Chase City Health and Rehab Center.
Mr. Studivant was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on September 23, 1929 to the late Butch Studivant and Betsy Tucker. He attended Holly Rock School, and was a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church in Skipwith, VA. Mr. Studivant was a laborer and cemetery worker. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching westerns and baseball, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers, Willie L. Studivant, Ben Clark, James Studivant, Harold Clark, Benard Clark, Earl Pettus and Ernest McFail; and four sisters, Martha K. Bacon, Rose Ann Bullock, Linda Burton and Juanita Jones.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory three brothers, Tyrone McFail (Marion), Sandy McFail, Sr. (Deloris) and Edward McFail (Hester) all of Chase City, VA; two sisters, Priscilla McFail of Chase City, VA and Sylvia Jean McFail of Baltimore, MD, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.
Funeral services for Mr. John Ace Studivant will be conducted 1:00 P.M., Friday, September 12, 2025 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Linda Goode officiating. Burial will follow in Silone Memorial Garden, Chase City. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Thursday from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M.
Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
