(Oakfield) John E. Swabb, Jr. age 68, passed away February 21, 2025 at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia following a long illness. He was born April 14, 1956 in Batavia, a son of John E. Sr. and Jean (Spring) Swabb and had lived in this area most of his life.
John graduated from Albion High School in 1974. He enjoyed working on cars and had worked as a mechanic for several years, and after, drove truck for Kohorst Trucking.
He was predeceased by his wife Deborah in 2022.
In addition to his parents, John is survived by his sister Julie (Keith) Norman; his brothers Jim (Kathy) Swabb, Jerry Swabb; his step-son Nathan (Amelia) Allen; step-daughter Darcia Bailey; step-grandchildren Anthony, Destiny, Makayla, Darrius, Natalie as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. Memorials may be made to the organization of one’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Albion.
