John Henry Szente

John Henry Szente was called Home by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 24, 2024, at the age of 76. John was born in Yonkers, New York, on December 23, 1947 to John Szente, Jr. and Priscilla Szente. John graduated from Lincoln Park High School, Lincoln Park, Michigan, in January, 1966. He enlisted in the United States Army and served in Germany from 1966-1969. He studied Finance at Fullerton (CA) College; studied Paralegal at NRI School of Law, and studied Pastoral Counseling at WC Ministries. Most of his career was spent in Banking, Real Estate, and entrepreneurial marketing. John enjoyed Bowling, Softball, and the Shooting Sports. Throughout his life he was active in his local church, in the choir, as a Sunday School teacher, and Home Group leader.
In early 2002 John met Susan, his loving wife of 22 years, through a Christian dating website and they were married that summer.
John is survived by his beloved wife, Susan. He is also survived by his daughter Lori, son Shawn, and 5 grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his mother and father, his brother Richard, and son Rob.
Cremation has been chosen, with internment to be at the Riverside National Military Cemetery in Riverside County, California, at a later date.
