John Henry Taylor

John Henry Taylor (63) of Fort Gratiot, passed away unexpectedly in his home on August 11, 2022. He was born to the late William and Hattie Taylor on September 2, 1958 in Port Huron.
He married Lisa M. Waal on February 25, 2005 in Port Huron. She preceded him in death on August 22, 2016.
John graduated from Port Huron Northern High School in 1977 and went on to receive his Bachelor's degree in Business from Baker College in 2007.
He worked as an Operation's Supervisor at Semco Energy for 30 years and retired in June of 2020. John enjoyed time up north in Roscommon where he went hunting, fishing and snowmobiling and in his free time he golfed, grilled, and spent time with his family. In his youth he played football and surfed in Baja California.
John is survived by his daughter; Lauren (Tamyn) Garrick of Charleston, South Carolina; sons; Devon Taylor of Port Huron, Kevin Parker of Port Huron and Sean Parker of Sarnia, Ontario; brother, Jim (Terri) Taylor of Port Huron; niece, Rachel Taylor; two grandchildren, Kaleb and Annie Parker; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Michael Taylor and son, Adam Parker.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday August 18, 2022 at Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Avenue, Port Huron. Pastor Tim White will officiate. Visiting hours will be from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
