John A. Thurman

John Al Thurman, Age 51, passed away on January 12, 2026.
John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and loved one to many. He was known for his strength, his presence, and the love he had for his family. Above all else, John cherished his role as a family man, and his greatest joy came from the time spent with those he loved most.
He is survived by his loving wife, Candy Thurman; his children, son Nick Thurman (Erika), son Dylan Bell (Lexi), his son Steven Bell, son Bryan Bell (Samantha) and his daughter Aubreyanna Thurman, Alana Thurman; and his ten grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
John was preceded in death by his mother, Alberta Thurman; his father, John Thurman; his grandparents and his son, James Thurman, and his daughter, Lacey Bell.
Though his time here was far too short, John's memory will live one through the love he gave, the lessons he taught, and the family he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
And always, as he would say, "Watch yourself in a minute."
