John D. Tredway Sr.

John D. Tredway Sr., 65 of Zanesville, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at the Genesis Hospital with his family by his side.
John was born on December 18, 1958, in Zanesville. He is the son of the late Junior F. and Emma E. Tredway. John worked for Harrison Township where he cleared the roads. He also worked for Shriver's Pharmacy for thirteen years, where he made many friends while delivering medicine and hospital beds. After Shriver's, John worked as a security guard at Dollar General. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially when he could hunt. John also loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Michelle R. (Lear) Tredway; his children, Jessica Kirkbride, Candie (Dusty) Dady, John Tredway Jr., Amber Tredway, Karlie (Jay) Andrews, Shane Tredway, and Shannon Tredway; his grandchildren, Logan (Chloe) Kirkbride, Shanndi (Jala) Clark, Ryliegh Elson, Kyler Elson, Jeremy Andrews, David Dady, Drake Dady, Haylee Tredway, Austin Tredway, Kaylee Tredway, Selena Tredway, Izabelle Tredway, Katie Tredway, and Hayson Andrews, who is expected to arrive in August; his many great-grandchildren; his special friends, Tim, John C., and Greg P.; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his son, Steve Tredway, who passed away on November 28, 2023; as well as his father-in-law, Roger Lear Sr.
Visitations for John will be held from 12 pm to 3 pm on Monday, June 17, 2024 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. A funeral service will follow at 3 pm with Pastor Adam Wahl officiating. John will be laid to rest in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
