Graveside services for John "Chip" Troha, Jr., 76, of Winnsboro will be 10 am Thursday, May 25, 2023, in Pine Grove Cemetery with Father Jason Gootee officiating, under the direction of Dennard First National Funeral Home.
Chip was born September 30, 1946 in Winnsboro to the union of the late Johnnie and Cleo Ellerbe Troha and passed from this life on May 22, 2023, at Plantation Manor Nursing Center in Winnsboro.
Chip was a contractor for many years; he was a diehard New Orleans Saints, LSU, and NASCAR fan, with Jeff Gordon being his favorite driver.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Bill Troha; niece, Dee Dee Wood; father and mother in law Marshall and Alma Rollins.
Survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife of 47 years Donna Troha of Winnsboro; son, Mark Troha and wife Tressy of Baskin; daughter, Tami Griffing and husband Neil of Crowville; five grandchildren: Lauren Burford and husband Dylan of Monroe, Matthew Troha of Baskin, Luke Troha of Baskin, Aaron Griffing of Crowville, and Austin Griffing and wife Abby of Crowville, along with their children; sister, Bobbie Wood and husband Bobby of Liddieville, brother in law, John Rollins and wife Wanda of Dunn; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
