John D. "Jack" Van Tol

John D. "Jack" Van Tol, 60, of Walnutport, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025, at St. Luke's University Hospital – Bethlehem Campus. He was the husband of Lee Ann (Bretzik) Van Tol. Born in Paterson, Passaic County, New Jersey, October 6, 1964, Jack was the son of the late John and Margaret (Gibson) Van Tol. He was employed as a forklift operator at Mack Trucks, Inc. for several years before retiring. Prior to that, he worked for Harry's U-Pull It in Allentown as a loader operator for 20 years. Jack was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, gardening, and cooking.
Survivors: In addition to his wife, Lee Ann; stepchildren, Breanna Bretzik of Bethlehem, Branden Bretzik of Walnutport, Brian Strawhacker of Jim Thorpe; sister, Jane M. Spradlin of Slatington; grandchildren, Dante and Damien Cimino; predeceased by a brother-in-law, James T. Spradlin.
