John worked hard as a carpet installer for Donahue Floor Covering in Paterson, NJ for many years retiring in the 1970's. John was an avid bowler and took great joy in time with his grandchildren.
John is the beloved husband for 57 years of Elizabeth Della Vecchia(nee Breslin) of Sussex, NJ. Devoted father of Lisa Diodato and her husband, Derrick of Wayne Twp., NJ, Barbara Topinka and her husband, Robert of Philipsburg, PA, Gregory Della Vecchia and his wife, Linda of Pine Island, NY and Angela Miles and her husband, Thomas of Little Falls, NJ. Cherished by 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
The family will receive their friends at Ferguson Funeral Home, 27 Third Street, Sussex, NJ on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 from 10 to 11 AM. Funeral service will commence at 11:00 AM. Interment of cremains to follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa, NJ.
