EUNICE-It is with heavy hearts that the family of John “ Steve” Vidrine announces his passing on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at his home surrounded by loved ones at the age of 73. A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Hampton Davis, officiating.
John, affectionately known as “Steve” by all, was born in Ville Platte, LA on December 26, 1951, to the late Edward and Vivian Bazare Vidrine. He had a love for antique cars and motorcycles and especially enjoyed attending car shows. He also held a special place in his heart for all of his grandbabies.
Steve will be missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife of fifty-three years, Debra P. Vidrine of Eunice; his children, Aimee Vidrine and significant other, Casey Field of Lafayette, Jon Vidrine of Eunice, Nick Vidrine and significant other, Jasmine Hollier of Eunice, Kristen Wyatt and husband, Klint of Crowley, and Kelly Lyons and husband, Ryan of Eunice; his brother, Keith Vidrine of Eunice; his sister, Vickie Gossen and husband, Jude of Scott; seventeen grandchildren, three great grandchildren; and extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and again on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 8:00 am until time of services. The Ladies Altar Society will pray a rosary at 6:30 pm Friday.
