John was born on November 11, 1977, to Le and Thang Vo in Vinh Long, Vietnam, and passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at his home in Benton, Louisiana.
John was uniquely talented at finding amazing ways to love his friends, family, and neighbors. Whenever someone needed help he would show up with tools in tow to fix whatever needed fixing, whether it be a meal, a shoulder to cry on, or just a listening ear. He was miraculously good at being a best friend, a neighbor, a father, a friend, a brother, a counselor, a chef, a child of God, and a handyman. He was intuitive and hardworking, a devout Christian and he was never afraid to get his hands dirty and put in work. John was good at being there when anyone needed him. He was well-loved by his community because he was genuine and kind-hearted.
Even though John held many women’s hands in his 20-plus years of doing nails, he only reached for one at the end of the day, his lovely wife of over two decades, Angie Vo. John was a loving, firm but fair father, a devoted husband, and a doting son, taking care of not only his parents but his mother-in-law as well. He was a kind brother to his sister-in-law and those he held dear to his heart. He will be dearly missed because he was loved, cherished, and respected by many members of the community as a brother, son, and dear friend.
John was welcomed home by his grandmother, Bup Thi Vo; his two uncles, Nam Van Le and Bac Ba, and his father-in-law, Wayne Adair. He is survived by his parents, Le and Thang Vo; wife, Angie Vo; stepchildren, Kealan Zeeb and Kirsten Tapia; son-in-law, Erick Tapia and grandson, Sebastian Tapia.
Serving John as honorary pallbearers will be Tam Hoang, Dat Vu, Cezar Carroll, Tommy Tran, Thang Nguyen, Sonny Trang, Chris Edney, Randy Noxon, David Prunty, Tri Pham, and Peter Van.
