John Vrbancic Obituary
John Paul Vrbancic, age 74, of Kalamazoo, MI, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence.
John was born in Kalamazoo on September 1, 1948, the son of the late Joseph Charles Vrbancic and Mary Louise (Kolarich) Vrbancic. He worked as a Research Biologist for Upjohn and then Pharmacia, retiring after many years of service. He was an avid coin collector and was once President of the Kalamazoo Numismatic Club.
He is survived by his dear friend, Denise Laraque and her husband Nicholas, and their sons, Jason and Nicholas VanEpps.
Private interment will take place in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Kalamazoo Numismatic Club, 834 King Highway, Suite 110, Kalamazoo, MI 49001. Arrangements were entrusted to Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial and Cremation Services, 622 S Burdick St, Kalamazoo, MI 49007. I am so sorry for the loss of John. He was a great man. I had the pleasure of caring for him for a short time. I know that we both enjoyed talking and joking around. My life has been enriched to have know John. May he rest in peace. Miss you buddy.
