John Charles Wakefield, 74, passed from this life October 10, 2025 in Borger. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2025 at Westlawn Memorial Park. Cremation is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
John was born July 30, 1951 in Spencer, Iowa to Robert Wakefield and Barbara Sieh Wakefield. He married Denna Eshbach January 2, 1998 in Borger. He was a Methodist and loved to work on cars, boats or anything with a motor, he loved to read especially history, his music, guns and was a learner about many things. He has lived in Borger for the past forty-two years and was a Stillman at Phillips.
He is survived by his wife Denna, his sons Bryan Wakefield and his wife Julie of Amarillo, David Wakefield of Fritch, Robert Johnston and his wife Christi of Amarillo and Aaron Johnston of Borger, his grandchildren Jocelyn, Jacelyn, Ceralyn, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Serenity and Haydyn and four great-grandchildren, and his two brothers Tom Wakefield and his wife Laura of Spencer, Iowa and Charlie Wakefield and his wife Jan of St. Paul, MN.
