John "Jack" Winston Wakefield III, age 90, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025, in Roswell, Georgia. Born on February 28, 1935, in Nashville, Tennessee, Jack was the son of John Winston Wakefield Jr. and Rosalie Bobbette Spitz. He graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1953 and went on to graduate from Vanderbilt University in 1960. Jack worked in Sales/Marketing with the IBM Corporation from 1963 until his retirement in 1992. Jack served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956 during the Korean War. His service reflected his enduring commitment to duty and country. He was an active resident at St. George Village participating in multiple councils and activities. Jack grew up with a small family and never took for granted the family he created. He never missed an opportunity to reach out to old friends or spend time with his children and grandchildren. He is lovingly remembered by his children: Joe Wakefield; Meg Valz (Fred); Mike Wakefield (Gayla); and Marti Kenworthy (Owen).
