I met John 1 time. It was under the Funtrails Vans awning outside in the parking lot of an Ohio State football game. He was in his wheel chair and I told him that my longtime friend and coworkers son was recently paralized and in a chair. Without hesitation he said. Your friends son needs to call me asap. He probably feels his life is over. I promise you its just begun if he calls me. He gave me his number and he took mine as well in case he didnt here back.He told me at least 3 times that day to make sure he called him. I was just the messenger that day. I passed the number to my friend and said If little Dan doesn't call him I won't be surprised if he shows up at our work. That was about 25years ago. Dan called him. John and Dan have been friends every since that day. I spoke to Dans dad awhile back and he confirmed what an inspiration John had been to Dan and countless others. Rest in peace John. Your job on earth is done. Till we meet again.Robert Hobbs
