It is with a heavy heart that the family of John Elliott Wallace announces his passing on August 13, 2025, at the age of 70. John is a lifelong resident of Pasadena, Texas.
Born on August 24, 1954, to Carson John Wallace and Hillary Louise Elliott Wallace, in Houston, TX at St. Joseph's Maternity Hospital. John graduated from Pasadena High School in 1974. In 1976 he joined Southwestern Bell Telephone Company (ultimately becoming AT&T) and spent the next 40 years with them, retiring in 2016.
John's passions in life included Arkansas Razorback Sports, watching TV (namely soap operas & sports) and having a good time. In his eyes there was one college team, Arkansas Razorbacks, and if you said anything bad about them, he would likely not talk to you for the next few days/weeks! As far as soap operas, his favorite was Young and the Restless, so much that he used to listen to it on the radio. Lastly, having a good time. He may not have excelled in too many things, but this is one field he aced! I think John has FOMO (fear of missing out) long before it was a trendy and could always be found in the middle of the action!
John was preceded in death by his Parents, Carson and Louise Wallace, and Brother, Louis Wallace. He is survived by Niece, Brooke Wallace, Great Nieces Mikayla Wallace, Alcia Garza, Amaya Garza, Abrielle Wallace, Nephews Dylan Wallace, Nathan Wallace and Wife Michelle Wallace and Great Nephew William Wallace.
John was one of a kind and will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of spending time with him.
A Memorial Service will be held at James Crowder Funeral Home (401 Texas Ave., La Marque, TX 77568) on Saturday August 23, 2025, from 2:00 – 3:00 PM.
