John Peter Washburn

John Peter Washburn, age 80, of Brooklyn, Michigan, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, at his residence. He was born on February 27, 1946, in Southfield, Michigan, to Loretta Tucker.

John is survived by his beloved wife Bev (Cremer) Washburn; loving children Joshua Henderson, Lindsey (Jimmy) Henderson-Kuka, and Nick Henderson; grandchildren Shye, Jaden, Katriana, Kristian, Briella, Klarissa, and Kalvin; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother Loretta Tucker; grandparents Karl and Irene Fend.

John retired from Ohio Art after a 30-year career as a sales representative. He had a passion for photography and creating stained glass artwork, appreciating the beauty found in colors and artistic expression. He cherished his role as a grandfather and enjoyed spending quality time with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Hampton Funeral Home in Jackson. A time of remembrance and open sharing will begin at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the family.
